Questions owners actually ask

Do I need a card?

Not for the Free plan: it needs a QuickBooks connection, a CSV upload, or a QBO export, and nothing else. Pro and Managed are paid by card, and you can cancel anytime from the Subscription page.

What counts as an analysis?

One run of the AI over your books: a margin breakdown, a savings scan, or a what-changed report. The free plan includes about 15 a month, which covers a monthly check-in.

Can StashGrade change anything in my QuickBooks?

No. The QuickBooks connection is read-only. StashGrade can never write to your books or move money. If you connect via CSV upload, we store the file you provide and nothing else.

What if my books are a mess?

Good. That's exactly what StashGrade is built for. The algorithm extrapolates margin by job type and surfaces hidden costs even when your chart of accounts isn't organized by segment. You don't need clean books to get close to the right answer.

Is the Integrator included in Pro?

Yes. The Integrator moves your data from one tool to another, like JobNimbus or Jobber into a new CRM, and keeps information flowing where your tools don’t talk to each other: a signed ArcSite proposal becomes a QuickBooks estimate without retyping. Every automation starts in review, so nothing is written without your OK. Each data move is quoted on its own. On Free, the Integrator is an add-on in the marketplace.

What does Managed add to Pro?

The tech plumbing nobody in a fence company has time to own. We set up business email on your own domain for everyone. We set SPF, DKIM and DMARC, so your estimates and invoices land and nobody can send as you. We watch your domain so it never lapses. We watch your website, so you hear about a down site or a broken form before a customer does. We keep your Google Business Profile fresh. We set up analytics and read it for you. We keep every business login in a vault your company owns. And we answer tech questions by text. Everything in Pro is included.

Who pays for Google Workspace on Managed?

You do, to Google, on your own card: about $7 a user a month at the time of writing. That keeps the account in your name, so the email, the files and the domain stay yours if you ever leave. We do the setup and the administration, and that part is in the $599.

Is StashGrade Ads included in Pro?

No. Ads is a managed service with its own fee, billed separately from the software. We run your Google Ads and report cost per signed job, and nothing that raises your spend goes live without your approval. If you turn on auto mode, changes that only cut wasted spend go in on their own, and every change is listed in your change log.

How do I cancel?

Online, anytime: open the Subscription page and click Cancel subscription. No phone call, no chat, no retention hoops. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Disconnecting QuickBooks revokes our access immediately.

I run several companies. Can I see them together?

Yes. Connect each QuickBooks file as its own entity, then view consolidated KPIs and one grade across all of them, a subset, or one at a time. Multi-entity accounts are on a custom plan; get in touch and we will set it up.
